Metamifop
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Metamifop is a post-emergence lipid synthesis inhibitor herbicide, with an IC50 of 41.1 nM against the carboxyltransferase (CT) domain of chloroplast acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) in barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus-galli). Metamifop inhibits the activity of the CT domain, thereby blocking fatty acid biosynthesis.

Biological Activity
Metamifop potently inhibits ACCase activity in Echinochloa crus-galli with an IC50 of 41.1 nM[1].
Metamifop (3 ns) binds to the dimer interface active site of the Echinochloa crus-galli CT domain via π-π interactions and protonation-dependent hydrogen bonds, with a unique binding region compared to other ACCase inhibitors, and undergoes a conformational shift in the binding site during MD simulations[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
