Fmoc-D-Glu-OH (D-Fmoc-glutamic acid) is an Fmoc-protected derivative of D-glutamic acid, which forms via ester hydrolysis of Fmoc-D-Glu (OtBu)-OH in a catalytically active supramolecular hydrogel (CASH) continuous-flow system. Fmoc-D-Glu-OH is applicable to studies on amino acid derivatives, enantioselective ester hydrolysis, and continuous-flow kinetic resolution.

Fmoc-D-Glu-OH (D-8) (continuous flow at 0.5 mL/min) forms via ester hydrolysis of Fmoc-D-Glu (OtBu)-OH in the supported-CASH catalytic system. Its formation rate is significantly lower than that of its L-enantiomer Fmoc-L-Glu-OH. At 30 min, Fmoc-D-Glu (OtBu)-OH shows no obvious hydrolysis, while approximately 45% of Fmoc-L-Glu (OtBu)-OH converts[1].
