Biological Activity
MOSPD2 Protein, Human is the recombinant human-derived MOSPD2, expressed by E. coli , with tag Free labeled tag. ,
MOSPD2 is an endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-anchored protein that mediates the formation of contact sites between the ER and endosomes, mitochondria, or Golgi by interacting with conventional and phosphorylated FFAT-containing organelle-bound proteins. Additionally, it forms ER-lipid droplet (LDs) contacts through direct protein-membrane interactions and participates in LDs homeostasis. The attachment mechanism involves an amphipathic helix with an affinity for lipid packing defects on the surface of LDs. MOSPD2 also promotes the migration of primary monocytes and neutrophils in response to various chemokines. by similar: These functions are related to the regulation of ER-organelle contact sites and cell migration.
