Amphotericin A
Amphotericin A is a tetraenic polyene antifungal agent, produced in the fermentation broth of Amphotericin B (HY-B0221). Amphotericin A has a structure identical to Amphotericin B except for a single bond between carbons 28 and 29 instead of a double bond. Amphotericin A can be used for research on fungal infection.

Biological Activity
Amphotericin A (0.35-0.80 μg/mL dissolved in DMSO; 3.5-10.1 μg/mL aqueous suspension) inhibits the growth of Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae with MIC values ranging from 0.35 to 0.80 μg/mL when dissolved in DMSO, and 3.5 to 10.1 μg/mL when prepared as an aqueous suspension[1].
