DOPE-PEG2000-NGR
DOPE-PEG2000-NGR (DOPE-PEG2000-Mal-Cys-NGR) is an amphiphilic lipid-PEG-peptide conjugate composed of DOPE (1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine), PEG2000, and the NGR (Asn-Gly-Arg) peptide, a tumor-homing tripeptide motif. NGR peptide specifically binds to aminopeptidase N (CD13) that is overexpressed on angiogenic tumor vasculature. DOPE-PEG2000-NGR is used for tumor vasculature-targeted drug delivery and anti-angiogenic research.

Biological Activity
DOPE-PEG2000-NGR: surface modification of liposomes and nanoparticles for tumor vasculature-targeted drug delivery, anti-angiogenic research, and tumor imaging in cancer treatment.
Structural composition:
(1) DOPE; a phospholipid with two unsaturated oleoyl chains that anchors into lipid bilayers and provides fusogenic activity for endosomal escape;
(2) PEG2000; a hydrophilic polymer that creates a steric barrier reducing opsonization and RES clearance, prolonging blood circulation time;
(3) NGR peptide; a tumor-homing tripeptide motif (Asn-Gly-Arg) that specifically binds to aminopeptidase N (CD13), an enzyme selectively expressed on angiogenic endothelial cells in tumor vasculature, enabling targeted delivery to tumor neovasculature while the NGR-CD13 interaction can also be exploited for delivering anti-angiogenic agents or tumor necrosis factor (TNF) conjugates.
