Flumethasone pivalate (0.03% in cream; local; via cotton pellet impregnation; 6 days) exhibits potent local anti-inflammatory activity in rat foreign body granuloma models, with minimal systemic effects at efficacious local doses^[2].
Flumethasone pivalate (30 μg/kg; p.o.; daily; gestational days 1-14) administered to pregnant rats during early gestation causes reduced newborn pup weight and and death within 24 hours after birth^[2].
