Thromboxane B2 is a prostaglandin derivative that is released during anaphylaxis. Thromboxane B2 induces arterial contraction and platelet aggregation. Thromboxane B2 is a biological inactive product and circulating catabolite of thromboxane A2. Thromboxane B2 levels in peripheral venous blood and coronary sinus blood can be used as a diagnostic marker for angina. Thromboxane B2 level in serum is also associated with inhibition of COX-1 activity inhibition in platelets. Thromboxane B2 is a major product of prostaglandin endoperoxide metabolism. Thromboxane B2 produces dose-related decreases in airflow rate, tidal volume and dynamic lung compliance, whilst simultaneously increasing pulmonary airway resistance in dog model. Thromboxane B2 appears to be a naturally occurring bronchoactive metabolite in the bioconversion of arachidonic acid .

C24-Ceramide is an orally active competitive binding agonist of PIP4K2C (mTOR complex regulator), thereby activating the mTOR signaling pathway. At the same time, C24-Ceramide changes the membrane morphology by inducing the formation of a partially interlocked gel phase in the phospholipid bilayer. C24-Ceramide can promote the proliferation and migration of keratinocytes to accelerate skin wound healing and drive the proliferation and metastasis of gallbladder cancer cells. The level of C24-Ceramide in serum can be used as a diagnostic marker for gallbladder cancer .

Pipecolic acid-d9 is the deuterium labeled Pipecolic acid. Pipecolic acid is a metabolite of lysine and an important precursor for many useful microbial secondary metabolites. Pipecolic acid slows ferroptosis in diabetic retinopathy by inhibiting the YAP-GPX4 signaling pathway. In addition, Pipecolic acid can be used as a diagnostic marker for pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy .

Tridecanedioic acid is an endogenous metabolite. Tridecanedioic acid is an endogenous metabolite. Tridecanedioic acid is related to the metabolic regulation of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH) and may be an important node molecule in the intestinal microbiota-host metabolism interaction network. Tridecanedioic acid is significantly accumulated in tolerant cabbage-type rapeseed varieties and has a lower content in sensitive varieties. It plays an important role in the defense response against the infection of the small cabbage moth (Plutella xylostella). Tridecanedioic acid can be used as a biomarker for plant insect resistance or a diagnostic marker for metabolic diseases .

TMTP1 is a five-amino acid (NVVRQ) tumor-homing peptide. TMTP1 slows the growth of tumor cells. TMTP1 serves as a diagnostic marker for hematological malignancies and acts as an anticancer drug carrier to enhance the cellular uptake rate of nanocarriers in tumor tissues. TMTP1 is applicable to research related to hematological malignancies, lymphoma, chronic myeloid leukemia, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer .

Metabolic abnormalities lead to dysfunction of metabolic pathways and the accumulation or lack of metabolites, which are recognized hallmarks of the disease. The metabolite signature is closely related to the disease phenotype and is very useful for predicting the diagnosis and prognosis of the disease as well as monitoring treatment. Metabolites can be used as disease markers for diagnostic therapy. As the classic model of disease experiment in vivo, mice metabolites also play a role in disease diagnosis and mechanism research.

MCE provides 329 mouse metabolites that can be used in disease research.
