TMTP1 is a five-amino acid (NVVRQ) tumor-homing peptide. TMTP1 slows the growth of tumor cells. TMTP1 serves as a diagnostic marker for hematological malignancies and acts as an anticancer drug carrier to enhance the cellular uptake rate of nanocarriers in tumor tissues. TMTP1 is applicable to research related to hematological malignancies, lymphoma, chronic myeloid leukemia, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer.

Description

TMTP1 is a five-amino acid (NVVRQ) tumor-homing peptide. TMTP1 slows the growth of tumor cells. TMTP1 serves as a diagnostic marker for hematological malignancies and acts as an anticancer drug carrier to enhance the cellular uptake rate of nanocarriers in tumor tissues. TMTP1 is applicable to research related to hematological malignancies, lymphoma, chronic myeloid leukemia, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer[1][2][3].

In Vitro

TMTP1 (10-120 μM; 1 h total incubation) competitively inhibits the binding of FITC-TMTP1 to hematologic malignant cell lines[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

TMTP1 (210 μg per mouse; intravenous injection; twice a week; for 1 month) significantly inhibits the growth of EL-4 lymphoma in female Balb/c nu mice[1].
TMTP1 (35 μM; intravenous injection; single administration) can competitively block the tumor-targeting ability of TP-NLC, confirming that TMTP1 mediates the specific enrichment of this nanocarrier in cervical cancer xenografts[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Balb/c nu (female, lymphoma-bearing, tumors reached 1.5 cm3 before treatment)[1]
Dosage: 210 μg/mouse
Administration: i.v.; twice a week; one month
Result: Significantly inhibited tumor growth.
Animal Model: C57BL/6 (female, 4-6 weeks old, subcutaneous xenograft model via flank injection of 2 × 105 TC-1 cells)[2]
Dosage: 35 μM
Administration: i.v.; single dose
Result: Reduced tumor fluorescence intensity of TP-NLC to levels comparable to free ICG and non-targeted GA/ICG-NLC groups.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
