Description

4,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid ethyl ester is an ABTS free radical scavenger with an IC50 of 5.95 μM. 4,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid ethyl ester shows no antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. 4,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid ethyl ester can be used in liver injury protection studies[1].

In Vitro

4,5-O-Dicaffeoylquinic acid ethyl ester (Compound 7) (10 μM; 48 h) improves the survival rate of APAP (HY-66005)-induced HepG2 cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Viability Assay[1]

Cell Line: HepG2 cells (APAP-induced)
Concentration: 10 μM
Incubation Time: 48 h
Result: Improved the survival rate of APAP-triggered toxicity in HepG2 cells compared with the model group; specific survival rate value was not explicitly reported.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
