Methylcobalamin Hydrate is a coenzyme required for methionine biosynthesis. Vitamins (hematopoiesis). It acts as a histamine receptor, Alzheimer study. Methylcobalamin is also used in the research of peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, and as an initial research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It can be used to prevent or research pathologies caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, such as pernicious anemia.

MST measurements of the binding of 0.2 μM recombinant caspase-3, GSDME, GSDMD with Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) or positive control. Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) specifically bound to GSDME but not to caspase-3 or GSDMD.

Representative immunoblot of GSDME pretreated with inhibitors as indicated, and then incubated with recombinant active caspase-3 for GSDME activation analysis. GSDME cleavage by caspase-3 was potently disrupted by Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) (1 μM; 30 min).

Changes in HepG2 cell morphology were observed with a microscope. Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) (20 μM; 2h) obviously blocked the appearance of pyroptotic bubbles (red arrow).

SYTOX fluorescence probe was used to investigate the protective effects of Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) (20 μM) on DCA-induced systemic and liver injury. The liver region was indicated with a red or yellow circle. Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) was effective against DCA-induced liver damage of zebrafish.

Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) (10 mg/kg; i.g.; once daily) treatment drastically reduced Serum transaminase ALT/AST activities, IL-1α and IL-1β in wild-type six-week-old C57BL/6J male mice.
