Testosterone sulfate is a biomarker for exogenous testosterone intake, however, it needs to undergo hydrolysis (decoupling) to be converted into free testosterone before it can be effectively detected by analytical instruments such as chromatography-mass spectrometry. Enzymatic hydrolysis using an enzyme preparation containing sulfatase is an effective and reliable method for releasing free testosterone for detection[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
