Cat. No.: HY-125954
CAS No.: 2616-64-0
Synonyms: UDP-α-D-glucuronic acid
Uridine diphosphate glucuronic acid (UDP-α-D-glucuronic acid) is a glucuronic acid donor. Uridine diphosphate glucuronic acid transfers its glucuronic acid moiety to acceptor molecules, thereby forming "ether" glucuronides, while being converted into uridine 5'-pyrophosphate. Uridine diphosphate glucuronic acid serves as a substrate for Arabidopsis UDP-GlcA 4-epimerase 1, and undergoes reversible 4-epimerization to generate UDP-α-D-galacturonic acid .

SRI-22818 is a NF-κB activator with an EC50 of 0.5 μM. SRI-22818 upregulates the expression of NF-κB and promotes its activation. SRI-22818 increases the level of SOD2. SRI-22818 exhibits activity in the SOD1 G93A model of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). SRI-22818 can be used for research related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis .

Desoxymansil is an anti-schistosomal agent. In mice, rabbits, dogs and monkeys, Desoxymansil undergoes oxidative metabolism via its isopropylaminomethyl side chain to produce a carboxylic acid metabolite, while this metabolic pathway is absent in rats. In rats, Desoxymansil undergoes α-carbon oxidation of the side chain to form an unstable aminomethanol that decomposes; the intermediate product is reduced to an alcohol metabolite, which is excreted in bile in the form of glucuronide. Desoxymansil can be used for the study of schistosomiasis .
