Oroselone is an angelicin-type furanocoumarin found in Prangos pabularia and Cachrys pungens, with weak antioxidant activity. Oroselone acts as an inhibitor of lipid peroxidation and a DPPH radical scavenger.

Activité biologique
Oroselone exhibits weak lipid peroxidation inhibitory activity (4.46%) in brain tissue homogenate, and shows a negative inhibitory effect (-9.46%) in kidney tissue homogenate[1].
Oroselone exerts a weak inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation in liposome systems, with an inhibition rate of 11.8%; it also shows weak DPPH radical scavenging activity, with a corresponding activity value of 0.043[1].
