Synonyms: D-(-)-Luciferin potassium; Firefly luciferin potassium; Beetle Luciferin potassium
D-luciferin potassium is the natural substrate of the enzyme luciferase (Luc) that catalyzes the production of the typical yellowgreen light of fireflies. The 560 nm chemiluminescence from this reaction peaks within seconds, with light output that is proportional to luciferase concentration when the substrate luciferin is present in excess. The luciferase (luc) gene is a popular reporter gene for research and agent screening. Chemiluminescent techniques are virtually background-free, making the luc reporter gene ideal for detecting low-level gene expression. As little as 0.02 pg of luciferase can be reliably measured in a standard scintillation counter. In addition to its role as a reporter of gene expression, luciferase is commonly used in an extremely sensitive assay for ATP . We offer the firefly luciferase (HY-P1004A), luciferin free acid (HY-12591A), as well as its water-soluble sodium salts (HY-12591) and potassium salts (HY-12591B) .

Synonyms: Fluorescein 5-isothiocyanate
FITC (Fluorescein Isothiocyanate), is one of the green fluorescein derivatives widely used in biology. FITC has the characteristics of high absorptivity and excellent fluorescence quantum yield. The isothiocyanate group of FITC can be combined with amino, sulfhydryl, imidazole, tyrosyl, carbonyl and other groups on the protein, so as to achieve protein labeling including antibodies and lectins. In addition to its use as a protein marker, FITC can also be used as a fluorescent protein tracer to rapidly identify pathogens by labeling antibodies, or for microsequencing of proteins and peptides (HPLC). The maximum excitation wavelength of FITC is 494 nm. Once excited, it fluoresces yellow-green at a maximum emission wavelength of 520 nm. In addition, FITC is also a hapten that can induce contact hypersensitivity (CHS) and induce an atopic dermatitis model .

Bromocresol green is a pH-sensitive triphenylmethane dye commonly used for the determination of protein and albumin in serum. Bromocresol green is a bio-based dye with a yellow-green to blue-green color. Bromocresol green turns yellow (λmax=435 nm, protonated form) when placed in acidic solution (e.g. pH=4.15), and turns blue in basic solution (λmax=615 nm, deprotonated form). Bromocresol green is widely used as a pH indicator in the field of biochemical analysis. In addition, Bromocresol green is also used to detect the concentration of molecules such as creatinine, and to judge the viability of cells .

DMNPE-caged D-luciferin is a heterocyclic luminescent compound that is a natural ligand for luciferase, an enzyme used to detect cell activity. Its reaction requires ATP and emits yellow-green light with a peak wavelength of about 530 nm. The luciferin in the DMNPE cage easily crosses the cell membrane.

VIC is a yellow-green fluorescent dye belonging to the xanthracene class of fluorescent dyes. It is mainly used in research on fluorescently labeled oligonucleotides (such as 5' end labeling), TaqMan qPCR probes, and nucleic acid detection. VIC dye can directly generate a stable fluorescent signal upon light excitation, without relying on enzyme catalysis, pH, or membrane potential activation mechanisms.

PerCP is a peridinin-chlorophyll protein complex derived from the dinoflagellate *Glenodinium*, suitable for immunofluorescence staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human tumor sections. As a red fluorescent dye, PerCP enables clear differentiation between antibody-bound tumor regions and yellow-green autofluorescence of tissues. PerCP allows simultaneous observation of tissue morphology without counterstaining. PerCP can be used in cancer research (Ex/Em = 482/677 nm) .

Ehrlich's Reagent is an indicator with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (HY-Y0015) as its core component. Ehrlich's Reagent is mainly used for the identification of enterobacteria, non-fermentative bacteria, fastidious bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, as well as the detection of indole derivatives and amines. It turns pink, red or purple when a positive reaction occurs. Ehrlich's Reagent undergoes colorimetric reactions with urobilinogen, indican, phenol, allantoin, tryptophan and uric acid, and forms yellow-green products when reacting with sulfur derivatives .
