Sodium α-ketoisocaproate regulates Ca 2+ influx. Sodium α-ketoisocaproate exerts insulinotropic activity in pancreatic islets and intact mouse pancreata with sufficient BCATm expression. Sodium α-ketoisocaproate can be used in research related to type 2 diabetes .
