Mofebutazone sodium
Mofebutazone sodium is a pyrazolidinedione non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAID). Mofebutazone sodium exhibits weak COX inhibition, no effect on LOX, and slightly suppresses the percentage of leukocyte phagocytosis in vitro. Mofebutazone sodium can be used in research related to soft tissue rheumatism.

Mofebutazone (10 nM-1 mM; 30 min) sodium reduces the proportion of phagocytic polymorphonuclear leukocytes and monocytes in peripheral blood from healthy donors and patients with soft tissue rheumatism, but does not alter the number of bacteria phagocytosed by individual cells[1].
Mofebutazone (10 nM-1 mM; 30 min) sodium inhibits the release of respiratory burst oxidative products in peripheral blood leukocytes from healthy donors and patients with soft tissue rheumatism in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
Mofebutazone sodium does not inhibit cyclooxygenase activity in isolated rat and human gastric mucosa[2].
