Biological Activity
HDAC10 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived HDAC10, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.
HDAC10 is a polyamine deacetylase (PDAC) that preferentially acts on N(8)-acetylspermidine, as well as acetylcadaverine and acetylputrescine. It exhibits attenuated catalytic activity toward N(1),N(8)-diacetylspermidine and very low or negligible activity toward N(1)-acetylspermidine. In vitro studies have shown histone deacetylase activity and involvement in MSH2 deacetylation, though the physiological relevance of these activities remains unclear and may be minimal. HDAC10 may play a role in promoting late-stage autophagy (e.g., autophagosome-lysosome fusion and/or lysosomal exocytosis) in neuroblastoma cells, as well as in homologous recombination and DNA mismatch repair. by similar: HDAC10 has also been implicated in autophagy and DNA repair processes.
