Zeta-Cypermethrin
Zeta-Cypermethrin is a type II pyrethroid insecticide. Zeta-Cypermethrin primarily acts on voltage-gated sodium channels in nerve cells, causing delayed channel closure, persistent nerve excitation and convulsions. In Drosophila, Zeta-Cypermethrin rapidly induces extremely high metabolic resistance that can be screened, and exhibits in vitro genotoxicity to human peripheral blood lymphocytes.

Activité biologique
Zeta-cypermethrin (6-30 μg/mL; 24 h) induces concentration-dependent DNA damage in human peripheral blood lymphocytes[1].
Zeta-cypermethrin (6-60 μg/mL; 24 h) does not reduce viability of human peripheral blood lymphocytes at concentrations up to 30 μg/mL, but significantly reduces viability to 80% at 45 μg/mL and induces complete cell death at 60 μg/mL in vitro[1].
