Butacaine is a reversible nerve conduction blocker. Butacaine acts on the nervous system and nerve fibers, can cause both sensory and motor paralysis. Butacaine inhibits the NavBh currents. Butacaine can form inclusion complexes with α-cyclodextrin (α-CD) and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD). Butacaine is commonly used as a negative control for other local anesthetics .

6A-Azido-6A-deoxy-β-cyclodextrin (β-CDN3) is a site-specifically modified β-cyclodextrin with a single azido group replacing the hydroxyl group at the C6 position. 6A-Azido-6A-deoxy-β-cyclodextrin forms a host-guest inclusion complex with Dexamethasone (HY-14648), localizing the drug within its hydrophobic cavity, which restricts the rotational mobility of the drug and places Dexamethasone in a less polar environment. 6A-Azido-6A-deoxy-β-cyclodextrin acts as a coupling agent to graft β-cyclodextrin onto thermosensitive nanogels via strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC). 6A-Azido-6A-deoxy-β-cyclodextrin also serves as a click chemistry reagent. It contains an azide group and undergoes copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules bearing an alkyne group. It also undergoes strain-driven alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups .

Synonyms: 2,4,6-Trimethylbenzaldehyde
Mesitaldehyde (2,4,6-Trimethylbenzaldehyde) is an ortho-alkyl benzaldehyde and a substrate for photocyclization. When excited by light in the solid state, mesitaldehyde undergoes γ-hydrogen abstraction, which generates a triplet-excited 1,4-diradical or enol intermediate and forms benzocyclobutenol. Mesitaldehyde produces benzocyclobutenol as the sole product with high selectivity via photolysis of its solid-state inclusion complex; in contrast, its photolysis in solution yields a mixture of cyclobutenol and trimesic acid .

Amogammadex (Adamgammadex; Aom0498) is a modified γ-cyclodextrin (HY-W040040) derivative and neuromuscular blocking agent. Amogammadex forms inactive, tight inclusion complexes with free Rocuronium (HY-17033) and Vecuronium (HY-B0118A), and reverses the neuromuscular blockade induced by them in a concentration-dependent manner. Amogammadex can be used in research related to neuromuscular blockade reversal .

Synonyms: Arsthinol; Balarsen
Arsthinenol (Arsthinol; Balarsen) is an orally active small organic arsenic molecule. Arsthinenol exhibits anti-amoebic activity by eliminating cysts and trophozoites of Entamoeba histolytica in feces and promoting the healing of amoebic rectal ulcers. Arsthinenol forms the hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex STB-HPβCD, which has an IC50 of 31.6 μM against U87 MG cells and possesses anti-tumor activity. Arsthinenol can be used in the research of intestinal amoebiasis and glioblastoma .
