West Nile fever

Definition:

West Nile fever is an infectious disease caused by West Nile virus (WNV), a flavivirus in the Flaviviridae family of +ssRNA viruses, and transmitted by Culex mosquitoes. WNV was first isolated in 1937 in Uganda.
