Antidiabetic agent 9
Antidiabetic agent 9 is an orally active antidiabetic agent. Antidiabetic agent 9 promotes the translocation of GLUT4 to the cell surface, activates the AMPK signaling pathway, and has no effect on the PI-3-K/AKT signaling pathway. Antidiabetic agent 9 reduces blood glucose levels in Streptozotocin (HY-13753)-induced diabetic rats. Antidiabetic agent 9 can be used in the research of diabetes.

Antidiabetic agent 9 (Compound 6c) (5-25 μM; 16 h) stimulates GLUT4 translocation to the cell surface in differentiated L6-GLUT4myc myotubes in a concentration-dependent manner, with a 1.64-fold increase at 10 μM[1].
Antidiabetic agent 9 (10 μM; 16 h) activates AMPK signaling via increased phosphorylation of AMPKα at Thr-172 in differentiated L6-GLUT4myc myotubes, and this activation is suppressed by dorsomorphin[1].
Antidiabetic agent 9 (10 μM; 16 h) increases GLUT4 mRNA expression in differentiated L6 myotubes without affecting AKT2 or IRS1 mRNA levels[1].
