Siponimod induces S1P1 internalization, activates GIRK channels, inhibits lymphocyte egress, reduces peripheral lymphocyte counts, triggers transient bradycardia, prevents synaptic neurodegeneration, promotes remyelination, alleviates demyelination, and prevents the loss of GABAergic interneurons.
