Glucoraphenin is an orally effective glucosinolate. Glucoraphenin can be isolated from radish sprouts. Glucoraphenin enhances the enzymatic activity of Glutathione S-transferase. Glucoraphenin enhances the activity of cytochrome P450-related monooxygenase.

Result:Increased CYP3A1/2-linked aminopyrine N-demethylase activity to 9.67 nmol mg-1 min-1 (single 24 mg/kg), 9.67 nmol mg-1 min-1 (single 120 mg/kg), 7.11 nmol mg-1 min-1 (repeated 24 mg/kg), and 7.22 nmol mg-1 min-1 (repeated 120 mg/kg) from control 5.50 nmol mg-1 min-1.
Increased CYP1A2-linked methoxyresorufin O-demethylase activity to 20.67 pmol mg-1 min-1 (single 24 mg/kg) and 17.90 pmol mg-1 min-1 (repeated 24 mg/kg) from control 10.33 pmol mg-1 min-1; slightly increased it to 11.71 pmol mg-1 min-1 (single 120 mg/kg), while repeated 120 mg/kg showed no significant change.
Showed no significant changes in CYP1A1-linked ethoxyresorufin O-deethylase activity across any dose or schedule compared to control 33.34 pmol mg-1 min-1.
