Biological Activity
FADD Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived FADD, expressed by E. coli , with His labeled tag.
FADD is an apoptotic adapter molecule that recruits caspases CASP8 or CASP10 to activated FAS/CD95 or TNFRSF1A/TNFR-1 receptors. The resulting complex, called the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC), performs proteolytic activation of CASP8. Active CASP8 initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases mediating apoptosis. Additionally, FADD is involved in interferon-mediated antiviral immune response, playing a role in the positive regulation of interferon signaling. by similar content includes: FADD's function in DISC and its role in the apoptotic cascade.
