Biological Activity

Description

GLRA3 Protein, Human (sf9, Strep) is the recombinant human-derived GLRA3, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with Strep labeled tag. ,

Background

GLRA3 is a subtype of glycine receptors, which are ligand-gated chloride channels. Channel opening is triggered by extracellular glycine, and its characteristics depend on subunit composition, with heteropentameric channels displaying faster closure (By similarity). It plays a key role in down-regulating neuronal excitability (By similarity), contributes to inhibitory postsynaptic currents (By similarity), enhances pain perception in response to elevated prostaglandin E2 levels (By similarity), and is involved in cellular responses to ethanol (By similarity).
