Accumulation of 3-Hydroxypropionyl-CoA inhibits fatty acid β-oxidation at the Fox2p site and induces metabolic toxicity. 3-Hydroxypropionyl-CoA can be used in studies of hematogenously disseminated candidiasis [3].
