Description

Plipastatin A1 is a lipopeptide with phospholipase A2 inhibitory activity. Plipastatin A1 inhibits conidial germination of Botrytis cinerea in vitro and reduces the incidence of gray mold on tomato leaves. Plipastatin A1 is applicable to research related to gray mold[1][2].

In Vitro

Plipastatin A1 (1-50 μM; 12-24 h) significantly inhibits Botrytis cinerea conidia germination in vitro at concentrations ≥1 μM after 12 h, and at concentrations ≥10 μM after 24 h[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Plipastatin A1 (50 μM; topical application; single dose) significantly reduces the spread of gray mold disease lesions on tomato leaf discs inoculated with Botrytis cinerea[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
