β-Benzamide adenine dinucleotide (BAD) (1-2 mM) is a competitive inhibitor of human NAD kinase with a Ki of 90 μM, inhibits 90% of human NAD kinase activity at 1 mM, inhibits 37% of M. tuberculosis NAD kinase activity at 2 mM, and shows minimal activity against M. tuberculosis NAD kinase at 1 mM[1].
β-Benzamide adenine (BAD) dinucleotide is formed via anabolic conversion of benzamide riboside in K562 leukemia cells, and is produced in greater amounts than TAD under the same conditions[3].
β-Benzamide adenine dinucleotide inhibits both IMPDH Type I and IMPDH Type II with similar potency, exhibiting IC50 values of 0.787 µM and 0.884 µM, respectively[3].
