Epiquinine
Epiquinine is a stereoisomer of Quinine (HY-D0143). Epiquinine exhibits activity against chloroquine-sensitive and chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum parasites. Epiquinine can be used for the research of malaria.

Biologische Aktivität
Epiquinine shows weak antimalarial activity, with an IC50 of 3471.0 nM against chloroquine-sensitive Plasmodium falciparum D-6 clone and an IC50 of 1179.0 nM against chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum W-2 clone[1].
Epiquinine (100 µM; 30 min) inhibits haem association with human erythrocyte ghost membranes, reducing membrane-bound haem levels to approximately 25% of the total haem in the assay[2].
