Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)

Definition:

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)are derived from adult somatic cells by ectopic expression of stem cell factors OCT4, SOX2, MYC and KLF4. iPSCs have characteristic features similar to embryonic stem cells, is a new strategy to model human cancer.
