Ageconyflavone C
Ageconyflavone C is a natural pentamethoxyflavonoid found in the aerial parts of Ageratum conyzoides L. Ageconyflavone C inhibits Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense, Leishmania donovani, and Chloroquine (HY-17589A)- and Pyrimethamine (HY-18062)-resistant Plasmodium falciparum K1, with IC50 values of 7.8, 9.2, and 9.25 μM, respectively. Ageconyflavone C can be used in studies related to anti-protozoal and parasitic infection research.

Actividad biológica
Ageconyflavone C (compound 5) (>30 μg/mL; >90 μg/mL) exhibits moderate in vitro antiprotozoal activity against Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense (IC50 = 7.8 μM), Leishmania donovani (IC50 = 9.2 μM), and Plasmodium falciparum (IC50 = 9.25 μM), with no activity against Trypanosoma cruzi and no cytotoxicity against L6 rat skeletal myoblasts at the highest tested concentrations[1].
