Definition:

AIM2-like receptors (ALRs) are a family of structurally related proteins. ALRs is critical in innate immunity, and determine the course of infections, inflammatory diseases, senescence, and cancer. ALRs inhibt DNA repair, thereby accelerateing genome destabilization, micronuclei generation, and cell death.
