Cementum protein-1 (CEMP-1)

Definition:

Cementum protein-1 (CEMP-1) is a cementum-specific protein that can induce cementogenic differentiation. CEMP-1 induces a cementoblastic phenotype and reduces osteoblastic differentiation in periodontal ligament cells.
