Definition

Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a labeled immunoassay, used to detect and quantify substances, including antibodies, antigens, proteins, glycoproteins, and hormones. The assay uses a solid phase carrier for qualitative and quantitative detection of the immune response using antigen-antibody specific binding.
