Intermembrane lipid transfer protein VPS13C

Definition:

Mediates the transfer of lipids between membranes at organelle contact sites (By similarity). Necessary for proper mitochondrial function and maintenance of mitochondrial transmembrane potential. Involved in the regulation of PINK1/PRKN-mediated mitophagy in response to mitochondrial depolarization.
