Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA)

Definition:

Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a simple bioactive phospholipid, is present in biological fluids such as plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL). LPA has both pro- and anti-inflammatory roles in inflammatory lung diseases.
