Medium-chain acyl-CoA ligase ACSF2, mitochondrial
Definition:
Acyl-CoA synthases catalyze the initial reaction in fatty acid metabolism, by forming a thioester with CoA. Has some preference toward medium-chain substrates. Plays a role in adipocyte differentiation.
