Biological Activity: Calphostin I is a selective protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.14 μM in rats. Calphostin I interacts with the regulatory domain of PKC, and the aromatic groups at its C-14 and C-17 positions contribute to enhanced potency and selectivity, with no inhibition of cyclic adenosine monophosphate-dependent protein kinase (PKA) at high concentrations. Calphostin I can be used in research related to cervical cancer and breast cancer[1].
