Biological Activity: ML356 (Compound 16) is an inhibitor for fatty acid synthase (FAS), that inhibits the thioesterase domain of FAS (FAS TE) with an IC50 of 0.334 μM, and blocks the de novo palmitate synthesis in PC-3 cell with an IC50 of 20 μM. ML356 exhibits good membrane permeability, and good stability in human and mouse plasma[1].
