Chemical Structure
DU-14
- CAS No.: 186303-55-9
- Formula:C22H38N2O4S
- Molecular Weight:426.61
IUPAC Name: 4-(2-tetradecanamidoethyl)phenyl sulfamate
InChIKey: MBODHUVGZPZRBW-UHFFFAOYSA-N
SMILES: CCCCCCCCCCCCCC(NCCC1=CC=C(C=C1)OS(N)(=O)=O)=O
Biological Activity: DU-14 is a potent steroid sulfatase inhibitor with an IC50 of 55.8 nM. DU-14 inhibits the MCF-7 cell proliferation (IC50 = 38.7 nM). DU-14 has neuroprotective effects against neurotoxic Aβ, suggesting that up-regulation of endogenous DHEAS by DU-14 could be beneficial to the alleviation of Aβ-induced impairments in spatial memory and synaptic plasticity[1][2][3].
