Biological Activity: 8-Hydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin is a phenylpropanoid isolated from the calyxes of Physalis alkekengi L. var. franchetii (Mast.) Makino. 8-Hydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin shows cytotoxicity against GLC4 and COLO 320 cancer cell after continuous incubation (4 days) with IC50s of 179 μM and 145 μM[1][2].
