SMILES: O=C1NC2=CC=CC=C2O[C@@H]1O[C@@H]3O[C@@H]([C@H]([C@@H]([C@H]3O)O)O)CO
Biological Activity: Blepharin is a naturally occurring benzoxazinoid glucoside with antioxidant activity. As a plant storage-type precursor metabolite, Blepharin can be hydrolyzed by glucosidases in laticifers to produce Blepharigenin when plant tissues are damaged. Blepharin shows weak activity in DPPH free radical scavenging assays and exhibits no significant antifeedant activity against Spodoptera littoralis larvae. Blepharin can be used in studies related to antioxidant and other relevant fields[1][2].
