COX-2-IN-68
COX-2-IN-69 is a selective, orally active COX-2 inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.82 μM. COX-2-IN-69 occupies the secondary pocket of COX-2, interacts with His90 and Arg513, and reduces the serum levels of PGE2, IL-1β and TNF-α. COX-2-IN-69 exerts anti-inflammatory activity in a rat paw edema model. COX-2-IN-69 can be used in inflammation-related research.

Result:Produced edema percentages of 17.58% at 1 h, 14.22% at 2 h, and 13.89% at 3 h post-Carrageenan injection.
Reduced serum PGE2 levels by 61.48% compared to the Carrageenan control group.
Reduced serum IL-1β levels by 62.17% compared to the carrageenan control group.
Reduced serum TNF-α levels by 58.36% compared to the carrageenan control group.
Showed moderate desquamation of gastric mucosa, inflammatory cell infiltration of the submucosa layer, and vacuolar degeneration of gastric glands, with milder gastric effects than indomethacin.
