R-PE (R for phycoerythrin) is the brightest and most commonly used orange-red fluorescent protein probe in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence; it is particularly suitable for detecting low-expressing antigens. Excitation wavelengths: 488 nm (most common) and 561 nm; emission wavelength: 575 nm; flow cytometry channels: PE / 585/40 channels.
