Neuraminidase, Microorganism
Based on 1 publication(s) in Google Scholar
Neuraminidase, Microorganism (Exo-α-sialidase) is an exosialidase, is often used in biochemical studies. Neuraminidase cleaves α-ketosidic linkage between the sialic (N-acetylneuraminic) acid and an adjacent sugar residue. Neuraminidase, derived from mucosal pathogens, is a virulence factor that modifies the host's response to infection.

Biological Activity
Product Information
Neuraminidase (sialidase) removes N-acetylneuraminic acid (sialic acid) from a variety of glycoproteins. The optimal pH for the enzyme is 5.0. Little activity is observed at pH 4.0 or above pH 8.0.
Instructions for use
1. Reconstitute the protein at a concentration of 1 mg/mL in ddH2O.
2. The recommended buffer for the enzyme digestion reaction system is 0.1 M Acetic acid, pH 5.0.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
