Neuraminidase, arthrobacter ureafaciens is a neuraminidase derived from Arthrobacter ureafaciens. Neuraminidase, arthrobacter ureafaciens catalyzes the removal of sialic acid residues from cell surfaces and viral glycoconjugates. Neuraminidase, arthrobacter ureafaciens enhances HIV-1-mediated syncytium formation and promotes the viral binding and entry steps in the HIV-1 replication cycle.

Description

Neuraminidase, arthrobacter ureafaciens is a neuraminidase derived from Arthrobacter ureafaciens. Neuraminidase, arthrobacter ureafaciens catalyzes the removal of sialic acid residues from cell surfaces and viral glycoconjugates. Neuraminidase, arthrobacter ureafaciens enhances HIV-1-mediated syncytium formation and promotes the viral binding and entry steps in the HIV-1 replication cycle[1][2].

In Vitro

Neuraminidase from *Arthrobacter ureafaciens* (0.01 U/mL; 16 h) enhances HIV-1-mediated syncytium formation in 1G5/J1.1, Jurkat E6.1/J1.1, and PHA/IL-2-stimulated PBMC/J1.1 cell mixtures, and this effect is observed after 16 h of incubation[1].
Neuraminidase from *Arthrobacter ureafaciens* (0.01 U/mL; 16 h) enhances HIV-1-induced syncytium formation in the 1G5/J1.1 cell mixture. This effect depends on the interaction between gp120 and CD4/chemokine co-receptors, and becomes observable after 16 h of incubation[1].
Neuraminidase from *Arthrobacter ureafaciens* (0.1 U/mL; 120 min) enhances the adhesion and invasion of HIV-1 to Jurkat cells, increasing the level of viral internalization by 5-fold[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
