TMV
Tobacco mosaic virus
Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is named for one of the first plants in which it was found in the 1886. TMV can infect well over 350 different species of plants, many of which are favorites in home gardens such as tomatoes and potatoes. However TMV exclusively infects plants and is completely harmless for mammals. The rod-shaped virus particles (virions) of TMV measure about 300 nm x 15 nm. A single TMV particle is composed of 2,130 copies of the coat protein (CP) that envelope the RNA molecule of about 6,400 nucleotides. This single-stranded RNA encodes four genes: two replicase-associated proteins that are directly translated from the TMV RNA, and the movement protein and a coat protein that are translated from subgenomic RNAs. TMV is the textbook example for self-assembly. The assembly of the CPs (with or without RNA) to viruslike tubes is becoming an attractive way for nanoscale construction.

Bruceoside B
0 ImagesCat. No.: HY-N20733CAS No.: 69687-69-0Bruceoside B is a PI3K/Akt/NF-κB inhibitor. Bruceoside B reduces LPS (HY-D1056)-induced nitric oxide release and the secretion of TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β, and decreases the activation level of apoptosis. Bruceoside B inhibits the replication, coat protein accumulation and local lesion formation of tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), and enhances the anti-infection ability of plants. Bruceoside B can be used in studies related to acute lung injury and tobacco mosaic virus infection. -

Antiviral agent 73
0 ImagesCat. No.: HY-179569Antiviral agent 73 (compound D13) is a potent intercellular movement inhibitor with antiviral activity. Antiviral agent 73 shows inactivation activity against potato virus Y (PVY) with an EC50 of 79.5 μg/mL. Antiviral agent 73 effectively inhibits virus infection by forming stable hydrogen bonds with Pro154 of PVY coat protein. Antiviral agent 73 can interfere with the process of Pro154-mediated viral intercellular trafficking in plasmodesmata. Antiviral agent 73 can be used for plant virus prevention and control. -

Ningnanmycin
0 ImagesCat. No.: HY-N13047CAS No.: 156410-09-2Ningnanmycin is a plant antiviral agent. Ningnanmycin binds to specific residues on the TMV CP disc, inhibits CP assembly, disassembles the CP disc into monomers, and disrupts the structure of the TMV CP disc to reduce pathogenicity. Ningnanmycin binds to key amino acids of PVY CP, interferes with CP-CP interactions, inhibits CP assembly and virion formation, and blocks PVY replication. Ningnanmycin induces the expression of antiviral response genes PRXIIB, PRXIIE, PUB4 and PER42, thereby activating the host defense system. Ningnanmycin can be used in studies related to Tobacco Mosaic Virus infection and Potato Virus Y infection. -
