Epidemic myalgia

Definition:

Epidemic myalgia, also known as epidemic pleurodynia or Bornholm disease, is an infectious disease caused by group B coxsackieviruses in the genus Enterovirus, the family Picornaviridae of +ssRNA viruses. It was first described in 1872 in Bamble, Norway. Group B coxsackieviruses are transmitted via the fecal-oral route.
