HMG-CoA reductase (HMGCR)

Definition:

HMG-CoA reductase (HMGCR) is a NADPH-dependent and rate-limiting enzyme of mevalonate (MVA) pathway. And HMG-CoA reductase (HMGCR) catalyzes the conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonic acid, involves in biosynthesis of cholesterol.
