Biological Activity: HA-29 is an antiplatelet aggregation agent. HA-29 acts as a cyclooxygenase inhibitor and a thromboxane A2/prostaglandin endoperoxide receptor antagonist. HA-29 exerts its effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase to block the formation of thromboxane A2 (TXA2), while simultaneously blocking the TXA2/prostaglandin endoperoxide receptor on platelets as a non-competitive antagonist. HA-29 can be used in antithrombotic research[1].
